Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 23 jalapeños, sliced
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Combine flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a shallow dish.
  3. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat, dredge chicken in flour mixture, and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  4. Add sliced jalapeños to fry during the last few minutes until crispy.
