Description

A simple and hearty casserole that brings the delicious flavors of cheeseburgers into one dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (like macaroni or rotini)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz), drained
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • Optional: pickles, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the beef mixture, cooked pasta, cheddar cheese, milk, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, ketchup, and mustard. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes until hot and cheese is melted.
  5. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with pickles if desired.

Notes

Try adding different vegetables or using a different type of cheese for variations. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for 3 months.
