Description

Deliciously soft and fluffy dinner rolls made with buttermilk using a simple no-knead method.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk, lukewarm
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup water, lukewarm

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast in a large bowl.
  2. Gradually mix in the warmed buttermilk and water until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking pan.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, divide it into equal portions, and shape them into rolls.
  6. Place the rolls in the prepared pan, cover, and let rise for about 30 minutes.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or honey butter. Rolls can be stored at room temperature for 1-2 days or frozen for up to three months.
