- 1 package (2 sheets) refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 cup fruit filling (such as apple, cherry, or blueberry)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 2 tablespoons sugar (for sprinkling)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out one pie crust and fit it into a pie pan.
- Add the fruit filling evenly over the crust.
- Roll out the second pie crust and cut it into strips. Place these over the filling.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the crust. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon if desired.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the pie is golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
