Description

A delightful treat of rich caramel paired with crunchy pecans, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Toast the pecans in a skillet over medium heat until fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  2. Combine sugar, butter, and heavy cream in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until boiling.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer for 4-5 minutes until it reaches a soft ball stage at around 235°F.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt. Mix in toasted pecans until coated. Drop spoonfuls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool completely.
