- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Toast the pecans in a skillet over medium heat until fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Combine sugar, butter, and heavy cream in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until boiling.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 4-5 minutes until it reaches a soft ball stage at around 235°F.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt. Mix in toasted pecans until coated. Drop spoonfuls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool completely.
